Over the last two months many Coastal Bend residents have lost their jobs causing a financial burden on many families. Schools have shut down and children are home. This pandemic is like no other disaster we’ve experienced and the increased need for food assistance continues to grow.
The Coastal Bend Food Bank holds Pop Up Drive Thru Food Distribution serving over 7,000 individuals, our largest distribution in the Coastal Bend. The CBFB staff and dedicated volunteers have worked continuously receiving, inspecting, packing, and distributing food at mobile sites in our 11 county service area.
