The 2025 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals will mark the fifth consecutive season PBR and Buc Days have united to bring a Velocity Tour event to the iconic celebration preceding the renowned Rodeo Corpus Christi.

The PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals will feature 45 of the world’s best bull riders vying for the title of PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals event champion, the coveted honor of PBR Velocity Tour Champion, and a combined $150,000 event purse.

Tickets for the 2025 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals, presented by Coastal Bend Chevy Dealers, go on sale Thursday, December 12. Season tickets including daily access to the PBR Velocity Tour Finals and Rodeo Corpus Christi will also be available.

PBR’s premier expansion tour begins its 2025 season with dual events in Portland, Oregon, Jan. 3-4 and Birmingham, Alabama, Jan. 4. Established stars of the sport and emerging newcomers will compete across 30 events spanning coast-to-coast of the United States, with all roads leading to beautiful Corpus Christi for the year-end PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals, presented by Coastal Bend Chevy Dealers.

The return of the Velocity Tour Finals to Corpus Christi comes on the spurs of one of the organization’s most dynamic individual seasons in 2024 as the Velocity Tour welcomed more than 356,000 fans throughout the season, hosting 20 sold out event days – its most-attended season since its inception in 2014.

Regarded as the “Championship before the Championship,” the expansion series’ year-end event also represents the final opportunity for riders to qualify for the sport’s most prestigious event, the PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast.

Via the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals, five riders will also earn direct berths to the PBR World Finals, which will culminate May 17-18 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

In 2024, Grayson Cole (New Ringgold, Pennsylvania) rode supreme, delivering the high-marked ride of the event inside American Bank Center Arena to make a come-from-behind surge and clinch the 2024 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Championship, earning the accompanying $50,000 bonus.

He was joined on the podium by teenage phenom John Crimber (Decatur, Texas) who rode to the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals event win. Crimber’s perfect 3-for-3 performance came just days before he went on a torrid riding spree at the 2024 PBR World Finals, delivering the high-marked ride of bull riding’s crown jewel en route to finishing second in the World Championship race.

A complete list of past PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Champions is: Jason Malone (2014 – Pleasanton, Texas), Gage Gay (2015 – Staley, North Carolina), Chase Outlaw (2016 – Hamburg, Arkansas), Alex Marcilio (2017 – Macaubal, Brazil), Alisson de Souza (2018 – Taubate, Brazil), Jose Vitor Leme (2019 – Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil), Mason Taylor (2020 – Maypearl, Texas), Adriano Salgado (2021 – Batatais, Brazil), Clayton Sellars (2022 – Fruitland Park, Florida) and Josh Frost (2023 – Randlett, Utah).
