Stand Earth Report Touts Recycled Toilet Paper

Americans are literally flushing the nation's forests away. That's according to a new report from the Natural Resources Defense Council and environmental group Stand Earth. Released ahead of International Day of Forests today, the report reveals that the average American uses three rolls of toilet paper a week and that the "tree to toilet pipeline" has devastating impacts for wildlife and the global climate. Reportedly if every household in the United States replaced a four pack of toilet paper every week with recycled toilet paper, 740,000 trees could be saved.
