Cheryl Burke Suffers Head Injury After Scary Fall During 'DWTS' Rehearsals

Cheryl Burke sustained a painful head wound on the set of Dancing with the Stars.

The pro dancer, 36, took to social media to inform fans that she suffered a scary spill and injured her head during rehearsals for last night’s (October 26) episode of DWTS.

“Yesterday, I took a hard fall while rehearsing for #VillainsNight. 🤦🏽‍♀️” Burke shared in an Instagram post on Monday. “Even though AJ kills me at the end of this Tango, this wasn’t part of the routine. It’s one of those things that can happen in a split second.”

“Thankfully, I have the best partner I could ask for that was there to pick me up off the ground,” she continued. “Keeping our fingers crossed for only planned mishaps during the show tonight!! 🤞🏽 #TeamPrettyMessedUp.”

The dancing competition show’s official Instagram account released footage of the scary incident as it happened. In the clip, Burke appears to her footing while running steps with her dance partner, AJ McLean, before falling backward and landing on her head. As medics rush to the scene, Burke can be heard breathing heavily as McLean remains nearby to comfort her.

Thankfully, Burke seemed to make a quick recovery from the fall as she was able to continue through with Monday’s routine.
