Fitness influencer Nicole Brenda Santos Marins died at the age of 28 after being run over by a truck following a motorcycle crash on Tuesday (August 19).
Marins was riding a Honda Biz in Palhoca, Brazil, when she accidentally crashed into the back of a Fiat Doblo, which was parked due to technical issues, at which point she was fatally struck by a truck whose driver reportedly continued without stopping, the Sun reports. No additional injuries were reported and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Marins' husband, Alisson Cravo, confirmed her death on his Instagram Story Tuesday, calling his late wife “an amazing woman, warrior, worker, [and] a wonderful mother.”
“Thank you for giving me what I didn’t deserve at the moment,” he wrote in Portuguese. “This journey was just the beginning of a beautiful story. Forgive me, I will love you forever, my wife.”
“You brought out my best side,” Cravo added. “I will miss everything we lived through — all our plans that would happen, the calmness you gave me from your wonderful smile.”
Marins gained notoriety on social media by posting her fitness and exercise content and also worked as a personal trainer at a local gym in Brazil.
