CORPUS CHRISTI – The Corpus Christi Hooks and Orthopaedic Center of Corpus Christi have partnered together to organize the Coastal Bend Women of Sports Panel Event. The event is set for Saturday, July 22 from 11am-12pm at Brewster Street Ice House Downtown. The public is invited to attend with free admission.
An esteemed list of eight accomplished women within the sports industry comprise the panel highlighted by Houston Astros Director of Player Development, Sara Goodrum, and orthopaedic surgeon Dr. April Hallquist. KRIS 6 Sports Director Larissa Liska and KIII News Anchor Leslie Adami serve as co-hosts for the event.
Guests planning to attend the panel event are encouraged to RSVP here. All guests in attendance will be entered into a drawing for door prizes during the event.
Women of Sports Weekend runs Friday, July 21 through Sunday, July 23 at Whataburger Field. Pink themed jerseys will be worn by Hooks players throughout the weekend. On Saturday, the first 2,000 fans will receive a Hooks Soccer Jersey in honor of the FIFA Women’s World Cup and a special parade takes place pre-game comprised of female athletes, coaches and groups in attendance.
The weekend closes out on Sunday with Pink in the Park and a Hooks tumbler giveaway for the first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles, both presented by AutoNation. Fans can also enjoy Dollar Day with $1 hot dogs, soda, candy and Rudy’s Prize Wheel spins in addition to H-E-B Kids Day as youngsters run the bases postgame.
