Teens collect 1,200 items in two-hour charity drive

A group of high school students in La Cañada, California, ended their summer vacation in a special way by collecting 1,200 items during a two-hour charity drive.

It was the second summer that the volunteers of La Cañada Charity got together to help individuals and families in need.

The students were able to inspire area residents to drop off an amazing supply of clothing, food and toys that will be distributed to those who need it most.

After the whirlwind event, those involved were already looking forward to their third annual drive next summer, vowing “it will go on” – even after they’ve graduated high school.
