Students pack thousands of lunches for the homeless

Hundreds of students at Cox High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, are keeping a great holiday tradition alive by packing special lunches for the homeless.

Each November, the students gather to create bagged lunches for those less fortunate -- and also include a handwritten note.

This year, they had a goal of 1,700 lunches, but shattered that goal, putting together 2,100 lunches in just 30 minutes.

The students then packed their cars -- and their parents’ cars -- and delivered those lunches to a nearby mission, brightening the days of those who could use a boost this holiday season.
